Putting a same article to different article submitting sites.

I have some articles on my own website.

Now, if I use the same article(s) for submitting on some article submitting sites, would that work? Would google think they are "duplicate" sites?

    Thanks

it's not very wise idea to submit articles from your site to article directories. Use unique articles if you want to be included in big article directories like ezinearticles....

Don't submit articles that can be found in your site. Google will read them as duplicate content. Better rewrite them.

I agree with the previous 2 posters. Put your highest quality articles on your own site. Put lesser quality articles on submission sites. And only submit any given article once.

I like to think of the submission article as a 'teaser' article. Get them interested with it and then at the end of the submitted article link to the full, high quality article with something like, "To find out more about targeted keyword phrase go to http://www.example.com/FullHighQualityArticle.html." (that is, if you're promoting your site's article for traffic or to gain backlinks using submission).

Submitting the same articles which was there on your site will be consider as a duplicate content. To get good traffic and backlinks try to submit unique articles with better keywords.

Submitting fresh or new rewritten articles around article directories with link to your website is a great promotional method trafficwise and backlinkwise

But never submit the content that is their on your website, your pages can get deindexed if google finds duplicate of them on the net

you can repurpose your own content on zines, but if you don't bother to make it unique, it won't do you any good. I can explain why if you like.

I agree. Make sure that you get newly written, unique articles done to submit to article directories. This is a great way of building traffic & backlinks while protecting your original content onsite and making sure it is not considered as duplicate content.

If the articles are index by Google on your own site, then you can submit them to article directories. In this way, you will get the credit for the new content/articles.
