"MUNICH, Germany - Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Saturday that the United States' increased use of military force is creating a new arms race, with smaller nations turning toward developing nuclear weapons.

Speaking at a conference of the world's top security officials, including the Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, Putin said nations "are witnessing an almost uncontained hyper use of force in international relations."

"One state, the United States, has overstepped its national borders in every way," he told the 250 officials, including more than 40 defense and foreign ministers.

"This is nourishing an arms race with the desire of countries to get nuclear weapons," Putin said, but did not elaborate on specifics and did not mention the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan.........."

    Who's Bush working for?

the create an arms race only if others feel like they are behind....We know Iraq was hiding weapons, China hides weapons, the US hides weapons....big deal...lets destroy them all since most will never even be used...

I don't blame Putin. If the world's eye were on me, as leader of Russia and world leaders were wondering why we were so heavily involved in supplying and supporting Iran, I'd toss out some bait to take the heat off me as well.

Could have been done better, but not bad.

I completely agree with Putin on terms of United states stepping out of their boundaries...

he also said something very true, i dont remember the exact quote, but he talked about how with current U.S way of doing things, no one can feel under international laws anymore...

It really is sad that Vladimir Putin is the symbol of rationality and logic in comparison to us. He's right and I hate to admit that...

I did a video on this exact topic the other day actually... it is available here

Ehh this is good for everyone .... if military race really starts again ( it kind of started already ) then we can expect some good things out of it. As you all know most of military equipment and weapons solution later find the way in civilian "things" .... I can't wait :D

Who cares what Bush, Putin or some other crazy politician says ... get us some gadgets :D

I miss the cold war all the time. But I'm afraid Russia will never have the power of its former Soviet glory.

".....Incidentally, Russia – we – are constantly being taught about democracy. But for some reason those who teach us do not want to learn themselves......Putin"

Putin is a chess player, not a slot machine gambler like our "unilateral" president. Who teaches things others, ....... that he himself cannot apply in his life.

Have you noticed that you repeat the same rant over and over in every thread without actually saying anything remotely relevant to the discussion? You look like one of those crazy people who run around with foam coming out of their mouth, yelling that people are out to get them.
