"... Earlier Tuesday, the Russian president asked parliament to cancel a March 1 resolution sanctioning the use of military force in Ukraine, a move Poroshenko praised as a "practical step" toward peace. The pliant upper house is expected to rubber-stamp the move Wednesday. Mr Putin said he took the step to "help create conditions for the peace process," but added that Russia will continue to protect the rights of Russian-speakers in Ukraine..... " http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...re-after-deadly-attack-on-military-plane.html With this Putin shows he is a peace maker, Obama- war maker. If you read what each one says. It is always Obama who uses the language of threats. Wait a minute? Does Obama understand that it is stupid to consistently use threats? Now West Europe is no longer sympathetic to Obama's policies in Ukraine and his sanctions talk. They probably even hate him for stirring up a civil war in Ukraine right in the middle of them and Russia. Russia is one of the biggest markets for EU goods. Obama elsewhere said: "We will impose such sanction that will not affect the US industries." But he is perfectly fine if the EU gets hurt by imposing sanctions on Russia. Wait, isn't that fair for Obama. Yes it is. He does not care about eventual recession in EU as long as he can hurt Russia, but what he does not understand is that EU is tied with US, and if the EU gets hurt US will also get hurt economically. Chain reaction.
This whole thing is a debacle. When this problem started to unfold he could have sent our carrier fleet and docked right there at their door step and then start running drills. Nothing to say except we are running drills and to stay out of the way. But did we run to Ukraine's aid? So we just stood by shaking our head. We are seeing the break down of democracy in a country and our goverenment is sitting by worried about sanctions and making idle threats.
Do you think it is right one country in the world to have the right to chose how countries must run their own affairs, to tell them what is right and what is wrong? And if they disobey the white house, then their governments are subject for removal including violent?
Personally if it were up to me we would be isolationist. I would close the borders. Move our military bases along our borders and implement our drones as the border guards along with electric fences. Take control of space so as to deter China, Russia and whomever from possibly having a threat from above. My main point from my previous post is that we have a weak President and governmet for that matter. Here in this country he rules by intimidation and a lack of regard for the rule of law. But outside of these borders they all see him for what he is; weak. Lots of fancy words and zero action. Putin saw that and acted. In Syria the people begged for help and he did nothing. He drew a line in the sand with that country's president concerning chemical weapons. Well, they are still using them and what did he do? Nothing. The Syrian president knows this so he continues. The thing is, there are people in this world that geniunely need help and he does nothing except goes on the talk shows , plays golf, and goes to Hawaii. All of the bad guys out there know it.
The civil war in Syria was instigated and supported by US, then Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey joined. Another evil created by Obama's admin. Why perpetuate the suffering of the Syrians, by keeping the war fire on, by bringing more weapons in the country, weapons which will be later turned against the democratic world?
