Put site up for sale on Flippa to get marketing exposure?

    Hi,

In the last month I've built two custom sites in the IM/SEO niche. Both provide a service and somebody in these niches would absolutely love these sites. Having an actual service to market is way better than just owning another boring blog or a PDF based IM product like most of the stuff on the WarriorForum.

But it's hard to get traffic to a new site, especially in these niches. My sites have no income, but once word gets out about them they should attract natural backlinks like crazy.

So I was wondering if I should list them with Flippa, maybe with a large reserve. My understanding is that I can list a new site for $9, then only sell if it meets a reserve (which I guess I could set at $5000 or something - wow I'd maybe sell for that!).

The good thing about Flippa is that my target audience loves that site.

If there's a flaw in my plan then shoot me down in flames .

P.S. Sorry I'm a noob so can't post links to my sites.
