I need to get a very high authority link out of Google's Top 10 and I'm not entirely sure what direction will be the most effective/efficient to get this pushed down. Here is the situation. I have a state supreme court pdf case file showing up in the following circumstances: Searching my name while in my city. Searching my name and city or state from anywhere, i.e John Doe Frankfurt or John Doe Michigan Now, the pdf is served from a state gov site with a DA of 83 and PA of 76 Spam Score of 2 Now, lets say you are in my office in my city and search for my name, the rankings are: #1. My business website #2. Same business website/subpage #3. Same business site/dif subpage #4. My Linkedin Profile #5. My Facebook Profile #6. My Facebook business profile #7. PROBLEM GOV PDF #8. Business website owned by me but different business site #9. My youtube channel #10. Site featuring my business #11. My twitter profile #12. Industry site featuring my business profile I have quite a few articles about me online from various websites, some higher authority and other assorted profiles as well as a Linkedin PDF I created sitting on page 2 of Google. There is stuff to work with. Now, with most other sites, I'd have likely crushed this already, however, with Penguin 4.0 and how it treats less than optimal links by reducing their values and such, I am trying to figure out the best way of getting that PDF down and everything else up. I thought about getting some backlinks/web2.0/social signal packages using some of the various social profiles and seeing if that helps but in my efforts so far, running backlinks to Twitter, Facebook etc has made everything dance around the PDF but not push it down, which is the puzzling aspect to this. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation before? I'm not at all opposed to outsourcing services that are likely to work but I need to wrap my head around the process and why. Why do my websites out rank the PDF with no problem with no SEO, yet news articles with much higher authority rank under it? This basically tells me that citations focused on me locally may be best. I ran some links to (T2 and T3) and made my twitter account more active which resulted in a temp increase above the PDF but it pushed things that were above the PDF, below it instead of just pushing the PDF down. See where I'm going with this puzzling situation? I'm really interested in some insight and advice on this. This pdf is almost becoming a passion project at this point. Thanks all.
