Pushing a domain name: One person to another.

Hi People,

I just purchased a domain name from somebody on here -the first time I've done this. What's the process now?

I think it's hosted on GoDaddy or Namecheap -I have accounts on both. He's asked for WHOIS details -is this correct?

I'd prefer to actually host the domains through another provider but would be happy to just have them transfered to GD or NC first.

Hope someone can help me...

First of all, the seller should tell you where the domain is registered at. Then, you can give him the account info so that he can push the domain to your account.

 

Ask him to push the domain to your account (most registrars have this feature). Once you have the domain, you can transfer it to any registrar of your choice.

 

If its with namecheap , create a free namecheap account and tell him to push it your name.
