Push to Godaddy

I'm experimenting with a few things, and am moving a registration of a domain from Dreamhost to godaddy, and will continue to host at Dreamhost. I cannot set my nameserver at godaddy until the transfer is done(I think), so once dreamhost releases it, will my site be lost, as well as PR?

 

Nameservers do not change or in other words, the domain operation is unaffected during transfer.
