Purpose behind link directories?

Discussion in 'Directories' started by Tuning, Nov 29, 2004.

First of all I'm just a newbie on SEO thingys. :(

I was astonished to see many members of this forum making link directories. And when me tried to submit URL, most of them found to be paid ones. :(

So the question is what is the advantage of making a link directory and using it for piad submissions. Is there any advantage on constructing a link directory my self ? Or should I use anyone else's directory.

    Please shed some light.
    Thanks.

Links can make you rich, so they naturally cost money.

Hey .... just tried out cplinks again ... very cool and simple to set up.

Wish it would allow more that one sub-category to set up. Every category can have have many sub-categories, but it would be nice to create sub-categories under those subs (hope that makes sense - lol!)

    still searching ...
