Sounds like you bought a domain name that had been paid for using someone elses credit card (ie fraud).

I'm guessing your SOL, and will need to talk really nicely to eNom and explain the situation.

What you need to do is contact Enom with all the details of your transaction and the url of the thread where you bought it. From your Paypal account you can also chargeback the amount citing fraud.

Think that possibly that webdevil filed a scam against advancescripts after selling it? To maybe get the site back? Just asking questions.

I doubt paypal will give you your money back - they tend only to do this for sales through ebay. Even it they do it'll take at least 180 days. I'd phone the gut at enom and provide proof of your paypal transaction and details about the forum on here.

    Hi,
sounds like a scam? Keep us up to date. You need to contact enom first, show them your paypal transaction and prove who you are. Also tell paypal and you credit card company if thats what you used to pay via paypal. I know you want the site, but you need to lay down some ground work first to find out who owns it. If its a scam and the person who sold it to you dosen't own it - you have lost it. Try to find the real owner - I'm sure he/she isn't too happy! If its a scam where the guy who sold it is trying to undo the transaction - as long as you have proof of sale you maybe able to get it back. *maybe*. I know when my brother was conned over a car - he didn't get it or his money back. So tread carefully and talk to eNom on the phone, show/prove you are the party in the right. You may not be the only one hurt here - the real owner could be out of pocket too!

    Rob.

This is what happens when you buy sites from Dingy street mongers / Kids/ Scammers / Retarded people. Dont worry, I understand how you feel. Even I had bought a couple of sites from an idiot who acted like the boss after selling.

Anyways, try the paypal method or try disputing the transaction with your Credit Card Bank.

A word of Caution : Always buy sites from reputed places and reputed people. Dont trust Noobs and Kids. I hate KIDS.

received similiar offer from somebody from india for the site therasoi.com . The seller pop into my yahoo messanger and offer the site for sale. Ready made site with India recipe (is that the site?). Name :- Vinit Jariwala ( IM :- vb2007s ) . Is this the seller in your case? Or another person using this ID ?

It was sometime last month. Didn't bought it. Feels sorry for your case. Same seller appear to have this site Deluxedirectory . com , and offer for sale.

    regards.
