Purchase with Paypal.

    Hello! My name is Eric and im from Europe(sweden). Im only 16 years old and i want to buy things with paypal. I was told i could get a debit card, Visa electron. Does this card work online? Or is there any other way i can use Paypal?

    You do need to have a valid and current CC on file with paypal in order to make a purchase using paypal. The reason has to do with a backup funding source requirement. You can use funds in your paypal account, but there needs to be a guaranteed backup source from the credit card.

    i am not sure but i think you can't create a PayPal account before 18 :rolleyes:

    Actually i have created a PayPal account. Maybe its not the same here as in US but i think the age limit was 18 here. But with a valid credit card it should be possible(?)

    As a minor I suppose your parent/guardian account should be attached with.

    Paypal does not ask for birthdates, for the US at least. And it's not that hard to get a debit card before 18....

    Ye the age is big problem here. If you want it go legal way you need to wait 2 years for your paypal and in the meantime ask your parents make you one if it's possible. I also have Visa electron without credit card feature so it's just bank card and it's working with my account so I think it will work for you when you get old enough.
