Purchase domain or wait for it to expire?

    I got a 'free' domain from OVH a while back however then then asked me to pay for it after a year which I did not. It now expires soon and I am wondering if I should just buy the domain off them or wait for it to expire then buy?

    I don't want to let it expire and then have it bought buy park domain service.

    if you wait you can lose it becasue you do not know who backordered it.

    If you do not want to lose it, just pay them for renewal or if it is not expired, you can transfer to other registrar.

    if you really interesting in this domain of course renew..if you are so so wait to expire and buy it after.

    You spent a lot much on it doesnt mean that you need to renew it. The only reason you must renew it must be that you are sure you can reap your investment you are going to make now onwards.

    I recommend you to buy the domain name and not letting it to expire only you feel that investing on this domain name is better then olny implement this step :)

    The best thing to do is renew it in long term for 2-3 years so you can get a discount and don't have any more problems with expiring problem.

    wait for it to expire and re order the domain maybe cheaper
    but the risk is high. You may not be the only one waiting for the domain
    to expire and other companies have the option to back order an expired
    domain name.
