PunBB gaining momentum... Is it strong... Or maybe even the NEXT BIG THING?

I love forums. I'm on forums all the time... Whether its travel, fun, technical stuff or something else, forums are a big part of my online time and I'm sure many people agree.

I remember back in the day when PHPBB was the big thing, surely the main reason was it being free and after a while it's huge userbase. Not long after I came across vBulletin, which is just wow... Personally I definitely think its worth its price... But....

Then I came across PUNBB... First I was like, what is this strange wannabe-forum script? This is wierd. Right to left instead of left to right... Everything I was used to with vBulletin was put on its head.

Not long after, another website I come across also has a PUNBB forum... Then another and another until I finally decide to research into it.

    http://punbb.informer.com/

I start seeing styles, a nice big userbase, SEO friendly, a lot of downloads, nice clean architecture and last but not least its FREE!!! So am I missing something or is PUNBB on the fast track to become the next big thing in forum software?

Punbb is solid forum software for streamline sites. It's extremely fast and small. However it doesn't have great expandability. I have used it for 2 projects successfully though.

My main man is right. PunBB is great, solid, and stable. It just doesn't have a lot of features. It does its job but if you're looking for a more interactive forum community software, use MyBB or vBulletin.

However if you just want the feature of having discussions, punBB is the way to go!

I installed PUNBB and now I'm being directed by its forum members to FLUXBB... Just a bit confused... But both scripts look great! Let's see how far I get with this :)
