Pulling my hair out and need some help with Google

    Hi
I am a reasonable person. I have a site which earns me around 70% of my online income. When it shows up in the google serps my adsense goes through the roof.

I have an Australian finance website and its like a bloody yoyo. One day its on page one in position 4 or 5, then next day it disappears all together. This has happened about 5 times this year.

The site is around 2 years old and has a pr0. How does that make sense. The site is a wordpress blog and has a lot of good content.

I need someone to have a quick look at it for me to maybe suggest why google has rewarded me with a pr0 and keeps adding then deleting my site.

Its driving me insane. It has got to the stage were I dare not change anything on the site.

    Ok the site is www.ecashloans.com.au
    The keywords I use are:
    payday loans
    payday loan
    cash loan
    cash loans

Any help will be appreciated as I have tried everything to keep the site stable in google.

    Steve

You may want to get someone to look at the design - it's broken in IE7 (Home button is completely away, sidebar reaches into the footer, etc.). Do you remember where you got the theme from?

PS - sorry, don't have an answer for your question, but keep doing what you're doing - update your site with new content, submit to the directories, maybe try article submission as well - and you should secure yourself a spot on first page of google :)

You may want to be a little more cautious with the unique articles that your are adding - make sure Your site is the original source where they get indexed by Google

What is "Premium Link Partners" supposed to mean? Would that, or could that be perceived as "Paid Link Partners"? None of them are nofollow.
Do any of the many sites on that page link back to you?

Also on the footer "Blog Developed by Finance Unlimited" Is Finance Unlimited another one of your sites? is it hosted on the same IP? also nofollow

only 26 posts made. is that correct? The first post in June, 2007.
Just a guess but maybe Google are waiting for, or expecting a series of consecutive, frequent posts. Maybe then the SERPs will start to settle down!

    Cheers
    James

I'm not sure if this is the problem but you're linking to a lot of unrelated sites.
I would suggest you to publish more content regularly and maybe start a link building campaign.

Hey guys thanks for the tips but how can you explain that after 2 years I have absolutely no pr and to top it all off Google doesn't have any backlinks to my site and I have added hundreds of backlinks myself and yahoo has 1400 backlinks to www.ecashloans.com.au.

I also noticed the sidebar going all the way through the footer. Thank you.

How do you know that you have been de-indexed?

    You have not been de-indexed.

Just type in to Google site:ecashloans.com.au

How did you check for backlinks in Google? with link:domain.com?
Do you use Webmaster tools? if so how many links does Webmaster tools say you have?

wow that was interesting. I am still indexed and with 595 links pointing to my site. Most are pointing at the homepage. I guess I should be doing some link work on the internal pages as well?

But, I still do not understand with so many backlinks, why my site does not have any pr?

Did you sell text link ads (or any other links) at any time on your site or write sponsored posts?

Google can ban your PR for certain things like that. Your actual PR doesn't change, but they remove the visible PR for link selling purposes.

No I didn't sell any links. But the yoyo effect amazes me. One day I am in position 4 and then the next I disappear. I wish I could just keep it on page one. After all its an Australian site with very little comp.

If no blackseo and selling links has been done it's really strange why your PR is 0 after two years...

My first impression when I reach the landing page is that, there are more ads than content itself. Even what I can see is that during the past one year, the total amount of content added is very less sometimes not even one in months.
Have you also use webmasters tools to analyze what is wrong with the blog? Any restrictions in the robot.txt file? How about errors encountered by the bots during crawling? You need to confirm on that as well.
