I wanted to post this very basic graph to show you my CB history. It started some time ago and as you can see, I made a few early sales, then had a peak with a new campaign earlier this year and then I hit the jackpot this summer. It is a long game but can be rewarding in the end. Sorry if this reality does not make you happy!
**This deserves a creative award - so true Thanks for the smile Nilzar +rep. It CAN be an easy game, but is rarely decided on 'time', instead your success is decided on traffic. I would suggest you take everything you're absorbing, and KEEP THAT ATTITUDE re being realistic about all this. No ebook out there is going make you into a success all at once (though it does happen to people, but the ebook is like the magic rabbits foot - it's just a good luck charm on your journey). Forget about money right now - focus your efforts on doing literally whatever you have to do, to ensure you get at least 100hops a day. This milestone is hard however is the truth. Without that volume at LEAST, you won't have data, you won't have as many conversions, you won't have money. And I don't mean buying bulk traffic I mean real traffic like your funny story above outlines - real 'in the trenches' grunt work that separates the boys from the men here. Keep getting dirty and the more you dig the more you'll learn from those around you and your own trial/error. Make yourself a promise too - Don't buy another ebook from a guru for as long as you live. Buying a real book/biographiy about a millionare is a much easier route to try to duplicate than a marketer selling tricks to marketers. Peace and good luck with your first sale, you sound like you should have it already based on what I've read - perhaps switch up your product selection. Cheers, N.
I will also add that there are dozens of tools that you could use to help you improve with your internet marketing... but it is pointless buying all the tools before you NEED them. It will end up costing a fortune if you bought everything and didn't require most of them for a few months. The first 3 months of your journey should be about learning through trial and error. You should continue to be realistic and focus on your own long-term goal... being successful in internet marketing. You already have enough on your plate at the minute without worrying about building up an email list - there is no point having an autoresponder if you have no plans on how to use it. Aweber may be good, but at $19 per month for a list of only 500 people, it can soon add up to be a costly expense if you are not making use of it. The main thing you can do (without costing you any money), is to look at building up links into your site through free methods such as article marketing. This will take time as you focus on writing the articles and getting more links into your site, but as you get more experienced and start to make sales you can look at outsourcing this part of the work to other people to free up your time. Once you have the site establish and you and getting some decent traffic each day, then you can consider getting an autoresponder like aweber or getresponse. Then you can start your list-building and figure out how to use it for your campaigns. You can work on more than one project at a time, but you should limit it to only a small number of niche markets so that you can devote enough time to each one to establish the sites.
If you are selling the xbox repair guide, collect hundred repair articles and rewrite them yourself. You can do it over a month. Then have some good relevant backlinks and you will start getting traffic and sales! And remember to research good keywords before writing the articles. I hope that helps..
Thanks everyone for your replys, at least I know alot of people went through what I am going through. This is a hard road to follow and creating content is not as easy as it looks. Today I searched google for my sites domain name and it showed up finally. Woohoo! Can't get my site to show up in the first few pages when I search for my keywords but with more marketing and backlinks that will come with time. Someone is working with me personally and is coaching me in the right direction and is pretty knowledgeable so I am confident I will get my first sale soon. Nilzar
I've had just over 1000 hops this past week and NO sales. Something has definitely been wrong with CB this week
How many sales do you normally get from 1000 hops? How targetted is your traffic? My conversions are down but I still get a sale nearly every 20-40 hops depending on the product.
