Publishing same content on article directories

I write articles in my blog and then publish them also in Hubpage, squidoo and suite101.
    Exactly the same

Im wondering if this is a good idea to publish exactly the same content or if thats bad for google because it will mark it as duplicated content.

Should i submit only a description?

    Thanks

I think it would be better if you rewrite your articles when you post them on other sites.

Yeah on Hubpages it will cause a problem, they only accept original content, so even after publishing there you can't publish it elsewhere. Your Hubpage will eventually get disabled/deleted unless you modify or delete the other two.

Search engines won't bother to index duplicate pages, and they won't count your links (or at least not all of them) if they're all from exactly the same content. Each article needs to be quite different - and by quite different I mean not just changing the occasional word, but rearranging sentences etc.

The best thing to do is write an original article to ezine and then submit the spinned articles to other directories.
