Publishers: How long do you spend creating your product?

I've dragged my heels and will launch a product soon that I've been working on and off for 6 months.

Recently I've tried to create some more quickly and while I can write the ebook in 2 to 5 days, it still takes about 2 weeks to:

    - write ebook
    - proof read and format and create pdf
    - create good bonuses (not just some PLR BS)
    - create sales letter
    - split testing

The only thing I outsource is the graphics.

So how long does it take you to create your own products and launch them? And how many products should you create every month? 1 per month? 1 per 2 months? 2 per month?

It's not about the product - it's about how you market it.

Outsource your product creation and work on getting prelaunch JV partners and affiliates for the launch of it.

Sure, I know that already. I'm just wondering what others do who create their own products. I'll outsource my product creation some time in the future when I can afford it but for now I stick to creating my own and whilst they don't need to be masterpieces, they have to be good enough to prevent mass refunds.

Sometimes you just have to put the product out there and tweak it as you go. You can make it better on the run, w/ feedback from customers, and split testing.
