Shouldn't Google have a minimal amount Publishers get paid? We are putting space, time and effort putting there ads (adwords).

Not sure I follow. They DO have a minimum amount, it's just that that minimum amount could be zero. We're strictly working on "commission" Startup cost etc is all our burden and not subsidized by them.

Without publishers, adwords can still show up on the search network.

Search network is not what makes adwords popular. Google gets free advertisements in every single one of our sites.

How is it free advertisement? If you are putting up free Google ads and are angry, just take them down. Others, although revenue has dipped, are still making money legit with Adsense.

It is an option of course. :D But, I strongly think google should be paying more to their publishers.

Just $10 minimal a month for having adsense. The ten dollars is just to show publishers that google appreciates there hard work.

True, but I would believe google's profit and income would drop at least below half than what it is now.

No. I don't consider it to be free since there is money being made. Now if there were no ads accompanied by the "Ads By Google" then yes, that would be considered free.

It all boils down to opinion... and in mine, if I am making money... then it is not free advertisement.

If it's not free advertisement then why not put your sites name (Ads by your site)?

I disagree. Google shows the ads because those ads are paid by the advertisers. Ads by google is a direct self promotion by google by all standards.

How about paying publishers something when ever a customer clicks on "Ads by google" link? In that case it is not free advertising. ;)

$10 minimal is not good - They must be spending this much for postal charging..

$100 is not much, but they can lower down to $50

I can tell you this if Yahoo or Microsoft wants to win google at there on game all you have to do is treat publishers better. Let's be honest if yahoo would to give there publishers a $100 a month minimal would you not change? Let's be real

I think that everything is fine where it is. For many people, it is hard to get to $100, but no matter how long it takes you'll get there. And Google would lose money if it lowered the minimum.

So every Webmaster would put Adsense on his own page no matter what content is. He would make $50 x 12 = $600 per a year with none or less work.

    NoSense there :)
