Publishers and PayPal pay links

Sorry if this topic may have been posted previously, but I was just having a look at some the publisher's order pages and I came across:

Three links to three forms of payment.

One pay by credit card (via clickbank)

One pay by PayPal (via PayPal)

One pay by echeck (via clickbank)

Well we all know you can pay using your paypal account through clickbank, but what this publisher has done, is open a paypal account for all his paypal transactions (by passing clickbank).

Is this how publishers rip their affiliates off these days? There is no way we get any commission if someone uses paypal to pay for the product using paypal as the merchant (not clickbank).

I have found quite a significant number of buyers use paypal to pay for online credit card purchases (~40% in my case).

It's a shame to see a publisher take advantage of his affiliates.

Is this a common thing, sorry I have relatively new to clickbank so I am still learning the positives and negatives of online affiliate marketing :)
