I have an affiliate account with clickbank, but now i need a publisher account so i have 2 questions which clickbank dont really answer too clearly in my opinion. thanks in advance

    1. do i have to make a new account for publisher, with a different username?

    2. i have 3 different products with 3 different websites, so the activation fee is $50, do i have to pay that 3 times or just the once and can have each product in the same pub account.

thanks again, rep will be given for a quick answer

    Hi mrlynam,

Unfortunately, there are only really two ways to go about it without a third party tool.

    1. Set up a web page containing links to your three web sites. (And just hope the visitors your affiliate sends you are interested enough to click through to the corresponding product). You won't need a new account using this system, you can use your existing affiliate account and simply submit a Product Approval Request.

    2. Set up a ClickBank Publisher Account for each product/website. Note: The $49.95 dollar fee is only for your first product/account, if you mention you already have a ClickBank Publisher account in your subsequent product approvals from each new account, you only have to pay $29.95.

The alternative is to use a third party tool like easyClickMate, ( ) - The only problem with using a third party tool allowing you to run several web sites from one ClickBank account is you have to get the affiliate to sign up to your affiliate program in addition to being a ClickBank affiliate already. Many don't even visit your web page and simply pick up a hoplink from the ClickBank Marketplace, so not all your affiliates will be aware they can cash in on multiple items.

However, in a recent Newsletter from Harvey Segal, Supertips.com, ClickBank is now discussing the implementation of multiple Landing Pages, (Pitch Pages), for one account. This, if it comes true, will negate this problem altogether. :)

    Hope that helps. :)

damn, so i have to pay $30 for every subsequent product i sell? are you 100% sure on this, as i have my doubts

edit: just searched again and turns out you may be wrong. this is what i says on clickbanks faq: ClickBank can sell up to 500 different products per publisher, per account.

then it goes on to say, that its $29.99 for subsequent accounts in the case you are selling more than 500.

Thanks for your attempted help anyway

No, sorry, I'm afraid I am right, and here's the explanation...

You are only allowed one Landing/Pitch Page per account, however you are allowed up to 500 "Thank-you pages" and 500 corresponding Payment Links for the products you wish to sell. What this means is, you can sell up to 500 Products from one web site, or one product on a ClickBank promoted web site, and 499 products on sites using ClickBank to sell, but are not available for affiliates to promote directly.

The problem is, the ClickBank Affiliate can not promote each of those products individually, only the product on your default "Pitch Page". If you're selling 500 products off of one web site, such as a software site, this isn't much of a problem. But if you're selling specific products individually, each with their own sales letter and web site, this is a problem because your current ClickBank Account will only allow one Pitch/Sales Page per ClickBank Account.

    Example:
Let's say you have three web sites which have specific Sales/Pitch Pages for each product:

    Product 1
    Product 2
    Product 3

You set up your ClickBank account with Product 1 as your default page, ("My Site" setting in your ClickBank Account). You then set up your default Thank-you page for this item which will be accessed whenever you sell your product through your default payment link, (http://1.PUBLISHER.pay.clickbank.net).

You then set up your other two products in your account. Accessed through payment links:

    http://2.PUBLISHER.pay.clickbank.net
    http://3.PUBLISHER.pay.clickbank.net

...each having their own thank-you page. You can now put these payment links on your two other sites and successfully sell them through ClickBank. Adding products now is as simple as adding new Thank-you pages to your account for each product, up to 500 in total. Each Thank-you page corresponds with a Payment Link used on each of your web sites, (or multiple products/payment links on one web site). This is how you can sell up to 500 products.

However, a ClickBank Affiliate who finds your site through the marketplace, (where most get their hoplinks from), will never see your other two products in our example, and these products will not receive the benefit of affiliate promotion through ClickBank, only your default site in your "My Site" settings will be seen in the ClickBank Marketplace and be promoted by ClickBank Affiliates.

Alternative, you can set up your default site, the "My Site" setting in ClickBank, to declare all of your products...

Welcome to _______ Website, here you will find products by _______

And this site has links pointing to each sales page/product you sell through ClickBank. Each product now has the potential benefit of being promoted by the affiliate. However, unless all of your products are specific to one niche, this may make it very hard for any affiliate to promote your site effectively.

Does this clear it up a bit on how selling through ClickBank works?

No, you can keep your Affiliate Account and your Publisher account together, ( although many ClickBank Publishers/Affiliates like to have separate accounts simply to make it easier for them to track where their sales are coming from). When you log into ClickBank, then go into "Account Settings. In the "My Site" area, you should see a "Product Approval Request" button. Set up your product in your "My Site" and "My Products" areas and then submit your Approval Request. That should be it. :)

    Hi there,
Instead of paying CB a fee for every website or product you want to list, get yourself a copy of Easy Click Mate. It lets you add as many products as you want with one CB account plus gives your affiliates more flexibility to check on their stats. Plus, you get to keep track of your affiliates :)

You can get ECM from easyclickmate.com

    I hope this helps.

    Enjoy your day!
    Terry :)
