We finally launched our latest web project. The name is PublicBlend.com. We've got about a year worth of development into the site. Our team of developers designed and built everything from the ground up, and we are very pleased to show it off to the public. The url of course is publicblend.com So, what sets us apart from places like digg? For starters, we don't limit you to submitting media that fits into one of a handful of categories like digg. Instead we use tags, so anything and everything can be submitted to the site and categorized by our users. We also have a unique drag and drop home page portal that you can completely customize. This allows you to subscribe to the information that is important to you so you can create your very own unique "blend" of the web. We of course have social aspects to the site as well allowing you to upload media to your very own drag and drop gallery. You can tag yourself and find other like minded individuals to network with. We have full featured private messaging built in. When submitting stories you can submit follow-up's so users can keep track of where a story started and how it progressed, and we also find "other sources" for every news item submitted to the site so you the user have an easy way to follow up on a news story and find more information without having to do the research on your own. The last part is for webmasters. We didn't forget about you and how important you are to the site. We offer a revenue sharing model in which webmasters who submit media to the site may enter their adsense information and actually earn money as our site grows. It's our way of giving back to you, and letting you know how important you are to our site. So, check it out, let me know what you think.
Looks pretty cool, clean userfriendly layout and interesting content. The revenue sharing model is a smart move, good concept. I like it!
Make the background something else other than white because the whole site looks kind of plain. Put more into it.
The layout is nice, but I highly recommend you change the grey to a different colour.. perhaps dark subtle blue to accommodate and flow with the vibrant electric blue.
