Public Service Message: Massive Changes At MySpace.

    Based on today's experiments:

-This is a very bad time to invest time in trying to build up (and sell or use) MySpace profiles.

IMO, friend adder bots have (had) some potenial value if you target your niche and use some imagination and creativity. The party is quickly ending:

-Capcha images are being used on a very high % of new friend requests.
-MySpace was already tacky, sleazy, and a waste of time. Now they are trying (too late?) to make massive changes.

Has anyone else noticed obvious changes this week??

Haven't paid attention to this but thanks for the info :)

The parties won't end, though... they'll just get moved a little. :)

There's something going on, but I think they're having maintenance issues. My robot account was showing as profile deleted the start of the week, now it's back as normal.

The Captcha thing will hopefully be fixed before to long as far as the adder robots are concerned. As for it being sleazy - depends what you're doing. If it's traffic building it's great, if it's pushing people to adult sites, well yeah, have to agree... ;)

-Have you seen the featured add on MySpace with the big breasted chick who is touching herself? When I said MySpace strikes me as sleazy I ment the whole d^mn place. ;)

-I agree with you pushing hard porn to the kiddies is much sicker than other things.

-Not sure what will happen with the Capcha, but how could it be defeated by bots? The purpose is the defend against bots.

Until the software peeps fix it. Just running now, and after 50 add requests it asked me to do the captcha manually. Now it's running like the wind again. ;)

I've noticed a clear limit of only 50 new requests :( before the Capcha kicks in. Are you saying yours is working well now? Good for you.

I spoke to soon - it's coming a bit more frequent now - after every 50, then every 20 or so. Not a biggy, it's running in the background - my aim is modest. :)

I just tested a brand new account:

-10 friend requests to real people, on the forums, who were posting info I'm actually interested in.

-38 bot-targeted to profiles with matching interests. Only 48 total (to keep it under 50)

-On the 47th request the Capcha's appeared, and auto requests won't work.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Oh well, "easy money rots the soul", off to plan something better!
