Its a bit psychological question now as you all know there are two types of tell a friend script: 1) which let users add their friend email address and name 2) which let user imports their friends but asks for user name and password Now I am asking this because this question arises when I was reading a thread. There was this Malaysian guy sharing some free ebooks and using no. 2) script which asks user to enter username and password for importing contacts. But the some freak Greek start yelling "he is scammer from Malaysia"..... blah blah and then viral marketing... herd of sheep ... and everyone started saying same thing "he is hacking accounts!!!!!!!!!!!!" Now why I mentioned this incident is that similar script is used by Facebook which has crossed 300 million. Now nobody get freaked out when they see facebook asking for username and password. Now the difference between these two is that the guy(using tell a script) wasn't very famous but facebook is very famous. So does that mean 2) type of script should not be used in new websites as it freaks out noobs?
