Though choice. PS3 has much better games, but it can not be hacked the games cost a little and the console itself isn't cheap from my point of view. PSP on the other hand is smaller, portable, not that many great titles but there are a few, it's hackable, not that great graphic performance as PS3 but for that screen is good, most of the games are getting child oriented. If you have the money then PS3 is your obvious choice, if not you can get loads of fun out of your PSP too.
I would have to say PS3... the games and gameplay is much better. (by this I mean you can play call of duty)
PS3 by a long shot. I have both and to be honest unless you are commuting a long distance or you you dont have a tv where you decide what to watch or play then ps3 may be a good option. But in short the games are far below the level of the PS3, the psp crashes and you lose your position in the game, the ps3 can act as your media server and is a IMO one of the best pieces of hardware ever invented
PS3 because the games are better and ipod touches can do all the things that psp can do nowadays (apart from the good games)
PS3 - Can plug into TV with lots better graphics, have blue ray etc. PSP - Portable, small screen, battery kind isn't that good. It's really personal choice, I'd say PS3 though mate. Mojachie.
I choose PS3..I have played it and i think the graphics is much greater than PS2 or PSP.. but the weakness is not portable and the price is still expensive (both of the console and the video games).. But I think its proportionate with the satisfy you get from the graphics on the gameplay.. PSP is good if you're often to go way out, so you can play the console to fill in your spare time..
Depends what you want the console for and which games interest. I've had both, personally, the PS3 is great but, I used the PSP a lot more. As others have said, the PSP is naturally portable so, if you wanted to game while out and about, perfect. Also, it is hackable. Not all models so you'd have to check first if you were getting one to hack it. Also, the game selection. There is fantastic games on the PSP but, obviously the PS3 counterparts are superior because of the graphics, size of disk (can fit more on than a UMD) and the size of the screen you can watch it on. Do you just want a home console (PS3), or one you can play at home but, have the option of playing while out/taking it with you (PSP)?
I prefer PSP, because it can be brought along with me. Also for network game, it doesn't have to connect to internet, it can play when someone pSP is near... also the games is very great, and not to complex like PS3 (although i haven't got PS3)
