There are so many services like PSD2HTML.com and CSSrockstars.com, but I'd like to meet actual people who would be able to provide "personalized quality" that I could either use for my clients, or "fix" to make work easily. I prefer the use of some standard CSS frameworks like Blueprint CSS. Anyone? Thank you
I need a PSD to CSS/xHTML coded. I have a thread going over in the buy sell section. I have a screenshot of what needs to be done with a few notes. Thanks for the links Quevin, I didnt look online yet. Dont think its worth 150 though...for that price Ill code it myself. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=902962
There are a ton of high-quality CSS/XHTML coders on these forums (including myself); simply ask around and you should find someone suited to your needs and in your price range.
Often clients ask me if I can take my prices as low as these companies do. What I realize is these prices don't include 1-1 service and customization. Any Developer can grind-out one page from PSD, but what after that? Then someone has to add the interactivity, add content, and integrate a CMS or just edit content manually. This takes time. Therefore, what's the difference between a PSD and a well-coded XHTML/CSS version of it without the rest? Either way, I'm interested in working with CSS Designers who might take care of the first part, and then I'll finish the rest. What would be necessary is the use of a framework, so CSS and XHTML isn't so subjective. One coder uses ".head" while another "#header" or "#top_bar" and so on.
Your problem here is the "I'll finish the rest" part. If you need a coder to take the PSD (which is usually an image of the proposed Home page) then how will you possibly finish the Contact page (often has a form), About page, Products, Examples, blah blah blah? The coder will make an HTML document for whatever content seems to be represented on the PSD, and a CSS page, which will only have the CSS pertaining to the Home page HTML code. When Contact page needs to be made, if it were made by this same coder, the form code and whatever else is different would basically modify the original CSS sheet. So, you need a coder to contstantly work with throughout the site's trajectory. It sounds like all you need is a head start, but I don't see how someone who is unable to code for an image can somehow code the other pages??? Most companies work from beginning to end with the coder, from Home page to Contact page, and everything in between.
It's all about saving time & money, and working with other developers who may be able to do things faster. It's great when you can work on multiple projects at once, and start something half way. That's if what you're starting is at the same level of quality you're used to. It does suck to have to fix something before getting started. But still, it's better than having nothing started.
