Hello all, While I am trying to hire someone to convert a PSD design into a fully working Wordpress Theme, since I have never done this before, I am not sure about how the process works. As such, I would appreciate any feedback. First things first... I have modified the original Twenty Ten theme A LOT.... After all the modifications (which include new taxonomies and a bunch of other stuff), I got to a point where I have a working Wordpress Theme (let's call it a child theme of Twenty Ten), and my designer is almost finished with a completely unique design. So, I guess my question is - Is it possible for a FULLY CUSTOMIZED design to be implemented on Twenty Ten, or is there a chance that we may have to start from scratch? If we cannot incorporate the design on the child theme that I created, then there could be a lot of issues, since the coding of the site would also have to be changed. I will go ahead and assume that we CAN in fact implement a design on the current child theme. In that case, what sort of costs are involved with the conversion? I have attached a mock up* of the actual design so that you can get an idea of the complexity... Bear in mind that this is just the homepage, and we will also have a few more customized pages with a different layout, but the mock up should give you an idea of how complex the whole design is going to be. *For the mock up: Like I said, I have never done this before, so I hope you don't mind my inexperience... I just edited the rough design to hide most of the elements, and I replaced everything with boxes... I then started painting on it just to be on the safe side...
