i own both ps3 and xbox360 and i can very well say that graphics is slightly much better than ps3. i like ps3 for both movies and graphics. Here is the bottomline. if you are hardcore gamer go for 360 and if you want entertainment (games + movies) buy ps3. And why not both? Just play Gears of War 2 in 360 and you will see no console would match it.
ps3 is easily the best as it has a built in blu-ray player and you don't have to pay for online, also it performs faster and you don't get red ring's like you do on the xbox
I've grown up on Nintendo and Sony systems throughout my childhood. I had nearly every system, even the Gamecube. Had the Gamecube for about a week, then took it back and got an Xbox. I played Halo 2 forever on Xbox and loved it. Then Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 cameout, after my experiences with Xbox and Xbox LIVE, I really wanted to see what the Xbox 360 had to offer. It was the best purchase I've made on a game console. Xbox 360 has fulfilled my needs for gaming ever since. I really enjoy the Xbox 360, there are some improvements that could happen, but nothing big that would require me to buy a PlayStation 3. I've played a PlayStation 3 at a buddies house, the games are pretty much the same if they are multi-playform. The navigation and menus on PS3 though, are not my favorite. Don't really need a web browser on my game console when I have a computer.
Currently, I would say PS3. A few years ago I would say 360. Sometimes I actually wish I had a 360 to play some rereleases of fighting games online and cave shooters.
The PS3 is probably the best choice for online games, as you don't need to pay like you do on Xbox Live. I had a code that allowed me to go on Xbox Live for a month at no cost. Nobody I know uses it, so it seems like a waste of a subscription. But as for the games themselves; I'd say the Xbox 360 has a very good range of different games from all genres. The Wii is also very good and deserves praise, and for once, Nintendo aren't just putting out a kiddies console. Well, the GameCube kicked arse as well, but I'm talking only of the current line up of consoles / systems and not ones from the past.
I was actually very surprised to find this racing game or something, that features both Sonic and Mario. I mean, isn't that kinda wrong? At some stage, SEGA were like against Nintendo because they were rivals. I'm sure I've debated this before, but since SEGA ceased making consoles, the whole feud thing they had seems to have ended. That's a good opener for making money, though. Why have them separate when you can combine them in a crossover?!
