Looking to start a small business with a profit of maybe $10-20 per game and a budget of about $500 to start. Anyone have recommendations for a good wholesaler or bulk seller? No drop shippers, that sounds too complicated for me. Thanks in advance!
Drop shipping isn't that complicated. You will have the advantage of not having to worry about stocking games and then posting them off. If you chose to go with a wholesaler you will probably only have a stock of 10 games with that budget. You also wouldn't be able to compete with Amazon or other big named retail sites price wise either in order to obtain that kind of profit per game you desire. Amazon will buy games in thousands and get a great bulk discount. You can only get around 10. If you wanted to do a games business you could just build a gaming site and monetize it with links from eBay and Amazon or other affiliate programs. It's probably not as hands on as you would like it to be but it would make a nice starter business. Best of Luck Mark
I have found such little profit margin in dropshipping. Many are charging outrageous fees for packing and shipping.
There is very little profit to be made in video games and video game consoles. Competing with massive retail chains and online shops is going to be difficult with you having hardly any buying power. Selling online, people are expecting cheaper prices; something you wont be able to deliver. It could work if you were selling your games offline, otherwise I recommend choosing another niche. Video game accessories on the other hand, theres profit to be made there. Check out Alibaba for some great deals but be careful not too run into any scammers.
