Hello everyone, I need a logo for my PS3 forum – PS3SmallTalk.com The background of the forum is attached, that’s what the logo will be against. The rest of the site will use colours very similar to this site www.PS3StockOnline.com This forum is a place for guys and gals who love their PS3 to chat about games and the like, it’s not a typical hardcore gaming site which all seem to be very dark and ‘serious’ looking. I want the logo to be cool, slick, contemporary, and perhaps a little fun. Basically I want it to stand out from the rest! PS3 colours: shades of greys, shades of black, bright red, ‘PS3 blue‘– use one or all – up to you. But definitely want some colour in the logo. Whether you include an icon or not is up to you. If you choose not to include an icon then I would like to see how a favicon would be portrayed. I want you guys to have fun with this. You are all such a talented bunch I can’t wait to see what you come up with. I want the contest to end by the weekend. If I see a design I like I may stop it before. Feedback will be given on every entry. If not successful this time, I will be running two further contests over the next few weeks. The winner gives up all rights to the logo and agrees to supply a high-resolution PSD/PNG in return for a $50 prize fee made payable by Paypal. Thank you! PS. Hi guys, I haven't been able to log in to DigitalPoint for some strange reason. I enter my details, am welcomed and then sent back to the login page - this happens for AGES! Anyway I am here now. So, feedback.... Before I start I would like to say a big THANK YOU for all your entries so far. It's up to you whether you try again or not. technoguy - The controller is too generic and the logo wouldn't show up against the grey background. DesignGuru - Not quite what I am after but a good effort. Not sure what the logo was meant to be, it reminds me of a peace sign? I would perhaps lose the logo, put the .com to the right and make the speech bubble red? Nosfis - I understand the concept but this is not what I am after. Thank you for your effort. Darkstone - The controller icon is great but the logo isn't quite right. I am not sure about the fonts used. Otakatun - A fun logo for sure but not right for the forum. The smiley faces look too much like pac man and I don't like the fonts.
I was going to apologize for being impatient because the same thing has happened to me several times. BUT, you skipped right over my entry (and others) and gave no feedback. I hate to be rude, but with this being your first contest (and if you plan to have more), you should put some effort in to being a good contest holder.
Guys I don't know what the deal is with DigitalPoint but I can't seem to log in at all at times. It's the same story on three different computers, both at home and at work. I even googled to see if anyone else was getting this or whether it was exclusive to me! Like now, I have been trying to login for half an hour, and this has been the same story every day. Jackieh, sorry that you are frustrated, I completely understand but I think I am more frustrated than you! Yesterday it timed-out on me and I couldn't get back on and finish the feedback. Anyway, I have now taken to writing it out on a Word doc and copying and pasting it before it times out again. So let me begin before I can't get in again: Jackieh1971 - I like the design but I don't like the font used, I prefer it a little more contemporary. I really like the tag at the bottom - that's exactly what the forum is about. I don't like the controller graphic, if a controller is going to be used it needs to look like an actual PS3 one. I would use a little less black in the logo - maybe a thinner border? Hazrd - I really like the colours used, and the speech bubble graphic. I would have a space between the PS3 and Small, and have Small Talk closer together (it's the other way round). Don't like the font for Small, prefer it to be solid - I like the other font used. Small and Talk should either be the same colour or different colours to the PS3. The image is of an old design for the PS3 and not the black one that was released. I don't know if I would just get rid of that and move the bubble to the right. Larrybn - I think your first entry is much better than the second. I like the controller in your second one but that's all. Your first entry is very strong. I would like to see the following variations please: - Could I see the colours solid and without the gradient? - Could I see it with the controller a little smaller in the back, and also with it to the left of the logo. Yakusokutebayo - I like this logo. I don't think it works with the speech bubble and would be better without, but if you did that it would need more colours in it. CHSajid - This isn't what I am looking for but thanks. Gamelord - Thank you for your effort but not what I am after.
