I'm still thinking of which photo/image editor is best for my needs. My primary use of it is for my clients who sends me .psd files and I cut up or copy images from the layers and build the site from it. Photoshop elements surely won't have a problem but I wonder if Paintshop Pro will have a problem opening them? (I hope it won't get messed up like gimp does for me). PSD's generated from newer versions of Photoshop could be a problem too... Also, can anyone tell me what I'll miss if I choose Elements over CS2/3 ?
PS Element all the way! Ps Element is cheaper that CS2/CS/CS3. But I'm not sure why its cheaper... Its very useful!
Elements is older but if you're just using photoshop for basic things, it shouldn't be a problem. Just note that you cannot open some CS2/3 PSD files with elements.
I can I use Paint Shop Pro 9, and it is very user friendly, and there are PSD to PSP(Paint Sho Pro) converters out there as well. I have never used PS Elements before though.... BP
Hmmm... that is good to hear, have you experienced any issues on psd's coming from other photoshop versions? any miscolourings, layer problems, etc?
