Check out http://www.articleauthors.net I just had them write a PR for my site. Article was great and turn-around time was very quick.
Just tried prweb didn't do much for mysite. Got several reads/downloads but very little hits to site.
I published an article on PRWEB about a year ago ($80 package). It worked out great, the release is still out there on many sites. I get 614 hits even today if I search for the PR title. My site, however, is in a niche market that does not produce many press releases. How that the site has grown, I think it's time to send out a fresh PR.
Turns out the PR5 link didnt last, but i think it got me at least 50 random links... Not sure about permanent traffic either, but i think it was worth the money.
This seems to be the general sentiment about PR releases, you get an initial traffic surge and then things go back to normal. I think this was what Forumbulge was asking.
I have submitted two press releases to them in the past. I saw an initial jump in traffic, it was short lived and resulted in no sales. I submitted a FREE article to some article sites, I saw more traffic and a jump in sales. The article(s) were free, the PR Web releases cost me $30 and really did very little.
I got a question. Im going to submit my press release this weekend or next week... i dont see the $80 package... is this after you are on submit release and click "save press release"? Or am i supposed to see this in prewebdirect..? I assume its not PR web direct...
PR Web has worked very well for me but as you found out, may of the really good links (PR5 etc) tend not to last long enough to actually improve your sites page rank so don't do it for only that reason.
I'm providing Press Release writing for $20 only, as you can see from my thread on the services area. You can check my positive testimonials there also PM me for details. Cheers!
PRWeb is a great tool for press releases. It gets the word out about your business, website, service, etc. This internet marketing option continues to bring large amounts of traffic to websites, long term because alot of other websites use the content for there own site which in return has a link back to your website = traffic. I have seen articles and online press releases from 5 years ago still showing online.
This topic is really on my mind at the moment. Would submitting a press release through PRWeb hamper the chances of a new site evading the sandbox - would Google see the links from the copies of the press release on various sites as 'un-natural' ..? I believe they would if the SEO package on PRWeb was used, but without the SEO package what couldn't be more natural about it? Pete
