I have used them one time for a site I later sold and I had amazing results! I think all the serius domainers should get it!
I've posted over 20 press releases using PRWeb and about 5 using PRNewswire. Until I read Shoemoney's post about actually getting calls from the press using PRWeb, I had looked at these two sites as providing two different levels of service. I have never had a call or inquiry from the press on a subject released on PRWeb but my top release had over 80,000 reads, tons of traffic and still has over 300 backlinks. PRNewswire is more work and costs a lot more but I always get calls from the press and one time my story hit cnn.com and msn.com's front page on the same day. Our site was mentioned on all three major networks and even a few talk shows. It was huge and well worth ten times the money. However, maybe it's my bias. Maybe if I had put the release on PRWeb I would have had the same response... although, I still doubt it. My guidelines are that press releases used to bring in traffic and raise your backlink count are fine for PRWeb but if you think it is real news, spend the time and money on PRNewswire. With that said, $30 to $80 is well worth what you get from PRWeb. There are few things you can do for under $100 that will generated this kind of quality traffic and solid backlinks. For maximum value, submit a press release to PRWeb monthly. Many of the back links have a short life span. One submission will be good but if you submit monthly, after about six months, you'll be amazed.
I've tried PR Web. I got a lot of traffic to start with, but after a while it waned a bit. However, I have seen increased traffic since setting up my press release.
Hi, Just one comment to add to this thread... Choosing the right press release service is of course important, but also writing a good press release is important. If you press release is just announcing your news site, well frankly you won't be getting calls from journalists. You ALWAYS needs an angle, your press release needs to be relevant and remember you are writing for journalists not consumers. Here are some more press release tips Regards, Gary
Hello guys! I got an question! I have used PRWEB but an dthe press was released but are all the press releases sumbittted? Thanks
I have used PR Web and have run the spectrum of mimimum contribution all the way up to $85. I found the best results on the $85 contribution but I think it all comes out in the wash. Thanks for the Prleap.com idea, I'll check it out.
PRWeb has been great for us. We've tried it using both $10 and another using $100 and the difference in exposure was well worth the additional $90. Most stats approximately tripled and we've received incredible exposure and decent traffic.
We used PRweb for our release of our free directory script. We paid a few more bucks to get the anchor text links. I'm still not sure about the backlinks... I have not seen too many but our traffic spiked for a few days.
I have used this PR a while back and it was not very successful. It got a few links but none of them from high Page Rank sites. Nevertheless it was worth the $ 30.
The basic PR is free, but it isn't going to do much. To get a wider distribution you need to make a contribution starting at $30. The one that starts at $80 is one that will bring results.
I just did a $200 release today, for release on friday. I am trying a totally different tact this time. I wrote the release to sound like a news story instead of a promotional piece. It's really quite good, I think. It starts off from the perspective of one person, then turns this person's problem into something we all face..then leads back to how she fixed the problem by visiting our site. I am hoping for some better pick ups on it. We'll see. When its visible, I'll show it off
I was very happy with my PRWeb experience. I put out a press release in April - and received the top spot. Searching for the title in quotes still yields 670 results in google. 281,076 reads, 1,673 Prints, 102 PDF downloads. Not a lot of click through traffic - hardly any - but it did the job I wanted it to.
nevetS - How does one get listed in your wedding directory - is this a paid placement? Let me know...thanks
lorien1973, You are on the right lines now. Press releases aren't for customers or consumers they are for reporters, journalists who will use them as a starting point for a larger story or feature. Press releases written as sales pieces will be completely ignored. Here are some more Press Release Tips and here is some informaiton on Press Release Mistakes Thanks, Gary
