Unfortunately no.. I don't use any, i've been doing SEO since the late 90's with AltaVista so i use a combination of what i know works, analysis of current stats, natural use of the English language, trend data and various other metrics.

This info is accurate almost down to the pageview, however all these search volume tools are really hit and miss and you can waste a lot of time optimizing for keywords they suggest.

That's a shame, because I've just been writing articles with the titles of all the other keyword suggestions they have for "gambling" and "poker". I guess they still must be right in some respects. Still worth doing?

Yeah sure, do it to get a baseline then go over your server stats and see what people are searching for and harvest that data to construct phrases to base new content on. ;)

Excellent idea, thanks again sweetfunny. Although I've heard things like google analytics are fairly unreliable as well when it comes to that sort of information.

Your httpd server logs are the best source for this information believe it or not, create a PHP script that can harvest the specific data your trying to retrieve. You could then view your stats right over the web in a password protected directory using .htaccess ;)

Sounds like something that would be incredibly useful. However I'm really not sure how to script/create a script/directory/password?...
