i have used proxypass a lot in the past, never had any problems. In fact i am still using and works well, except for this new site i recently got up. It's a video security webserver hosted on internal computer. on main webserver ( www.maindomain.pt ) in http.conf: ProxyPass /cctv http://sn060405c1ab4651.halla.pt ProxyPassReverse /cctv http://sn060405c1ab4651.halla.pt when i access www.maindomain.pt/cctv i get "The requested URL /cgi-bin/slogin/enter.spy was not found on this server." i have other ProxyPass for other internal servers, like mailboxes, webmails and all work as expected. Since there are several ways to do this, i also tried using virtualhost directive: <VirtualHost *:*> ProxyPreserveHost On ProxyPass /cctv http://sn060405c1ab4651.halla.pt/ ProxyPassReverse /cctv http://sn060405c1ab4651.halla.pt/ ServerName sn060405c1ab4651.halla.pt </VirtualHost> no success! the exactly same error. i feel it has something to do with CGI-BIN on the internal webserver. i have tried a lot of other directives, like ProxyHTMLURLMap, <Location>, all with the same result. it must be something with the other webserver. on apache error log i get this entry: [Fri Jun 19 15:49:46 2009] [error] [client 192.168.10.54] script not found or unable to stat: /etc/httpd/http: my DNS is working properly and resolves http://sn060405c1ab4651.halla.pt, obviously if i browse http://sn060405c1ab4651.halla.pt i am able to enter the site. does anyone ever experience this kind of problem? what is the problem and what can i do to fixed. thanks. regards, Jorge
