Is there any money in them, do servers for them require high bandwidth and are there any other issues with them?
VERY high bandwidth and most hosts do not allow them. Also, to my knowledge, you cannot use google ads on the displayed pages.
Lots of people buy them and then sell them pretty quick when they understand that they cannot host them.
some people do abuse this type of service... i.e scammers and spammers will gonna abuse this serivce for sure.
