Proxy websites - are they still profitable?

I had a few proxy websites back in the days and I was using AdSense on them, which of course didn't made me rich, but at least it was something.

Are proxy websites still profitable? Pop-up/under ads or something else that one would use on them to generate at least some profit?

 

I think they have lost their role. People will use extensions on Chrome rather than having to enter the URL on the proxy website every time they want to visit a new website.

 

The short answer to that is: Yes.
You can promote affiliate products using your proxy website

 

At the moment, you cannot earn money from adsense with proxy websites, and any unethical behavior is a reason for adsense acc ban.
