Dear All, I am looking for a vps with the following sort spec: cpanel, linux of some form, about 3-4gb space (to fit os, cpanel and website) and about 100gb bandwidth. The site is a proxy and solely will operate as one. Could you recommened one? about $30 budget p/m Thanks
Hello, The best recommendation to you would be opting for a Dedicated Server as this would not effect the performance of your server. The basic reason behind not suggesting you to go in for a VPS is that a proxy server overloads the node and is severly affected by frequent downtimes. However, you will also need to work on your budget in order to get the best of the servers and service. If you like to know more about our servers, then you could send us a mail to Regards
you can get a dedicated from about $70 - re-consider your budget and go dedicated. If you do, you can run 5-10 proxies on it and easily cover the costs of the server.
Proxy sites aren't stable on vps. It slows down the server performance, if you want your proxy sites to run smoothly then you should opt for dedicated hosting.
Due to myself only running the one proxy, on a custom script that uses very little cpu, i feel i don't really need a dedicated server at the moment. Also the budget that I currently have only limits myself to a vps. Thanks
try http://fdcservers.net/ they allow IRC so they will allow proxies too their VPS are cheap. if you end up signing there please leave me a rep
Thanks for that although I need to have cpanel, its just at the moment with servers I have a limited knowledge.
sorry for the threadjack but i'm looking for a dedicated server for proxy sites ....budget is about $100/month but looking to have cpanel as well...i checked fdc and all their servers at 99$ or under are sold out...anywhere else??
