Proxy Tweak

I'm looking to run about 10 ~ 20 proxy website.. I"m thinking of using cgi proxy from http://www.freeproxytemplates.com/

where can I learn about tweaking the template.. For example, not allowing hotlinking to minimize the bandwidth use?

or do you guys recommend any other proxy script?

 

Well alot of hosting places wont let you use cgi as it uses more resources....
But yea they are good and look in the proxy thread, there is lots of info on tweaking there.....

I'd recommend the glype proxy script.

 

I reccommend php proxy script as its easy to tweak and there is a lot of info. You can see the above mentioned post by super rich guy or try search here. I have seen several free guides poping up lately. Its realtively easy though. You don't have to do much besides throw in a hot linking script, Max file size and throw in your ad code. You can buy add on scripts if you want, but don't have to.

CGI is, perhaps, not the best choice, or atleast not my first as it uses LOADS of resources, which will just raise your hosting cost.

CGI uses a lot of resources. If you server cannot support it, choose a php

 

I just setup 2 proxy site using PHProxy.. It's nice I think

go to http://www.proxydesigner.net and design your proxy using their wizard. It takes google for the front page and you can put in code for the proxified pages (you can't use Google on the proxified pages).
