Proxy Traffic gone BOOM

As anyone else realized that their proxy traffic has just gone boom?

Mine has, I'm listed in the top 10 for myspace proxy / proxies. Since I've done just a LITTLE link builing and it has paid dividends.

Heres is my site www.kenzey.com. Seem that most of the students have gone back to school now so traffic has gone up on it.

Is there anyone ready to take proxies to a new level? Or is it impossible to do so?

 

I'd assume the boost in traffic is because summer's over. As for the next level, I don't exactly follow. Did you want to expand your proxy into a social networking site as well?

 

Something like that so user have more control when they are at school/college etc.

 

What kind of control did you have in mind? Sorry if I'm not following.

The alexa traffic means NOTHING......most school users that use proxy sites didnt download the alexa bar. Thats how it ranks, only users that install that bar.....

I noticed similar boom, but remember some students started in early August.

I have seen proxy scripts around, but I am not sure of one thing. Are people using your hosting ip as a footprint or are you pushing them through something anonymous?

If they are using your ip, couldnt it become a problem for you?

 

do you actually make any profit out of these proxies? Or just enough to break even with the traffic costs?

I have experinced around a 300% jump in traffic over the past month.

My proxy network was making <10$ a day during summer now it is making around 50-60$ a day

 

Nah, I'm simply pushing visitor the proxy sites in return of.. nothing or just a simple text link.

Its not actually on proxy. THink of it as a gateway for users looking for proxies. Im making mid $xx a day and high $x from pimpmyaim.net. Hosting is a low $xx a day!
