Hello, everyone. I hope I'm not the only one with this problem, but I can't seem to get rid of it. I've discovered few weeks ago.. some kind of proxy surfing website, which generates various links (when you type-in a certain website you wanna visit, you get redirected to it, but with a different URL), which are also very fast indexed and cached by Google and so some of my websites are obviously recognized as duplicate content, as I'm getting lower and lower in SERP. practical example: 1.) i write a new blogpost 2.) minutes after it gets indexed by Google 3.) someone visits that proxy website and enters my website's domain in "surf to:" box 4.) this proxy redirects him to my site, but google already caches that mumbo-jumbo link and all the content there's to it - actually my own content. 5.) my original website (from 1.) ) gets lower a few 10 spots on SERP. If I remove that blogspot, I get much higher in SERP already next day, so it has to do something with duplicate content. and Copyscape also recognizes it as duplicate content. Is there any way to... block the proxy website to access your site? Or do you see any other solution to this problem maybe? The proxy website I'm talking about is http://duckmansworld.com/surf/surf.php Tomaz
I highly doubt it's a duplicate content issue actually... Anyhow, you can easily block any site by editing your .htaccess file. Just blacklist the website and thats it. Ask google. Cheers
Maybe this only website is doing problem otherwise proxy websites dont do like that, infect u can block this website with .htaccess
