Proxy sites, Do they take much time and effort once their established?

I'm thinking about buying up already established proxies but im wondering, once their already producing revenue and running, do you have to do much to keep the revenue from ads coming?

I'd say that it's mostly hands off. Once set-up and optimized you need to get traffic. Most of the traffic you get these days is short to medium term i.e. it will die off. You need to build up some backlinks and search engine traffic in order to maintain stable income.

In the medium to long term it requires less maintenance than other types of websites but you do need to work to establish the proxy

    I hope this helps

Start your own, don't buy peoples used and abused websites.

If you start your own you will learn how to do everything on your own.

Proxies don't take much to maintain, other then making sure the server doesnt crash from overload, and that your sites respond well during peak time.

As for revenue, it will long term die off as your site gets blocked. However I believe that there is plenty of traffic to get to even old sites, but it is probably better to start your own. It won't take much money or work to start your own, and you can be getting good traffic and decent money in a few days to weeks. Over time you can make even more. I made $101 on just tuesday alone. and I am averaging $90 - $100+ per day. If you want to keep making money though then you will have to devise a plan long term to do it. Meaning either you have to have SEO traffic, you have to keep advertising over time, or you have to have a solution to provide your current users with new sites as yours get blocked. Or best yet, just do all three. Bottom line is this:

ammount of work put into it = ammount of money you get out of it.

as is true for any site. Although I would have to agree with others in that to some extent it will go viral via word of mouth and you won't have lots to do to it for a while.

Its not hard, you just have to go out and get it. :)

Grats Cadelaf! Glad to hear you are doing well. Keep at it and you will do even better. :)

Advertising would be the key for you, in terms of the market, it is reaching a saturation point because there are not many barriers to entry.

After initial setup, there isn't a lot of work you have to do but if you do not get the viewers it will not take off.

I have subscribed to a proxy list site, yet most of what they give me is dead proxy links.

How do you stop your site getting banned everywhere? And what if you use shared hosting, wouldn't that then ban all the other domains on that same IP / webhost?

Running proxy services on a shared host is not recommended, simply due to the resources required.

The fact is that you can't prevent it being blocked, if it ends up being popular it will be down before you can do anything about it.

I would suggest you make your own, dont buy them. Most likely if someone is selling a proxy that has high revenue, they just sent it to some newsletters a day ago and is trying to make some quick cash.

    I have a proxy for sale, proxxyit.info.

It is only a couple months old, gets decent traffic for no advertising, it is listed on google.

    I'll sell it for $20.

It is not blocked hence it being new.

    Here is adsense:

It's a great market, and an excellent learning tool.

You will learn some SEO and some web stuff.

They are cheap to run, and can be very profitable.
