I would stick with the black. That template is very popular for proxies, so the site should prosper no matter what gradient you use.
Hello myDOMAINion I had a chance to look at your proxy site. After some careful consideration... I like the blue the best. it seems to capture your logo better. My Thoughts Logo You are in one of the biggest competitive markets as there are thousands and thousands of proxy sites out there. I feel that your logo needs to be unique to represent the audience you are after. Surf Bar If I were to use your site, I would be confused as to where the surf bar is... and probably mistake the google search bar for this... I would suggest changing locations of these 2 bars. Template I would consider designing the template to the audience you are after also. Whether it be teens or young adults... you need to find out what they like... and take it from there. @BigJonnyB, My friend did remove the footer erronously! Now it's back, thank you for calling our attention to that. To others, thank you for your review. We have decided to use the RED gradient for now. We have learnt a lot from your suggestions. Question: The proxy doesnt seem to work well on suggested sites listed on the main buttons, like YouTube, and Friendster. You cant seem to log in? Or if you did, it seems the video wont work?

putting too many anchor texts with same words(your own url) and having several links pointing to your home page from your home page will be considered as spamming by search engines(Black hat seo i think). just an advice.
I like the black look a bit more than the red. Otherwise, it is functional. That's all a proxy site should be.
