Proxy site with over 50K uniques daily!

Last time i was offered by someone to pay half first them half later, i was scammed for over 2 thousand dollars. just had to but in and say careful with that.

 

Actually, I think todays earnings is .39 and I have no idea how to figure out the ratio's. I don't do google adsense. This is something for a new owner to figure out.

A significant percentage from "unknown" since they will use multiple proxies to make sure their address is hidden. The second most heavy is China.

Sorry. The site gets flooded. It is, however, working right now and I have removed the custom mod to lighten the load on the MySQL server (and the site as a whole).

 

How can you get 50k uniques but make so little money?

It just doesn't seem right.

 

An educated guess (since google logs around 70K impressions for the month) is that my script leaks. Somehow people use it without seeing my content.

If I had the time to try and either plug the leak or change maybe to a zelune script it might significantly alter things.

Again, I am selling the traffic generator in a well known and well trafficed site. Not the revenue. If you are an astute entreprenuer you will figure out how to capitalize on the traffic.

Ok, this site is back for sale. The purchaser placed a deposit and never finished paying the purchase price. By agreement, if the price was not paid by the 11th I could re-offer the site.

You will notice that the site has not changed and the traffic is now consistently OVER 60,000 uniques daily and the pageviews are topping 300,000 per day.

Someone with an idea of how to capitalize on this much traffic will make a fortune on this site.

The price I originally listed was $1000 firm. While I am inclined to raise that a bit because the traffic is increasing I will take that price if I can get this domain finally sold and in the hands of someone who is going to use it correctly.

As the beginning of this thread states, I am NOT selling revenue. I am selling a HIGH TRAFFIC site. You figure out how to make the revenue.

 

What web host are you using and whats the price ?

 

I run my own dedicated server at PixelFXSolutions. It is on a 100MB pipe and runs a dual core intel at 2.8 GHz with 2MB RAM

It is the only domain I run on that server.

 

And what do you pay?

 

$199/month for the server and pipe (unmetered).

 

how can you have 50k visitors a day and such a bad alexa ranking

for instance my websites with 20k a day are ranked around 20.000 in alexa

I second that. The seller is using a stats program that is known to be very inaccurate for proxies. If I were the buyer I would back out to. I'm sorry, but the traffic stats program you are using just isn't accurate for proxies. It grossly inflates the amount of traffic. Stats software like Awstats and Webalizer were never meant to be used on proxies. Analytics is much better for proxies and actually gives accurate readings.

 

I will put my OWN analytics stat couting code on it, but not someone elses.

 

Your analytics stats would be nice to see. Even better would anybody else code be, it couldnt hurt you to put someone else code up.

 

Who's outfoxer.com its your number one refferer, but when I go to view it I get a forbidden error. And your earnings don't make since, I would like to see analytics stats too.

 

I have added google analytics to the site. I will post some of the results tomorrow.

And, for correction: the previous buyer did not back out. He paid a hefty deposit and could not make the rest of the money.

Frankly, I don't know who ANY of my referrers are and truthfully, I don't care. If you've read this thread at all you'll know StupidSchool was bought as part of another purchase, sold once, rebought since the original purchaser couldn't afford the bandwidth, and now relisted.

I haven't jockeyed the stats, moved them around, altered them. They reflect July and a bit of June and August. Nothing has changed from the full month of July or for the first weeks of August.

 

Site has been sold at BIN and paid for. Good luck to the new owner.
