I'm planning to engage in a grey hat link development. And I just recently learned about proxy servers. What proxy servers do you recommend for guys, who are just starting out with their link development?

    Hi Chancey,

I would avoid any grey-hat techniques altogether, it is just not worth the hassle, if and when the search engines do decide these particular techniques should no longer take advantage of their algorithms and policies you could be faced with being either penalised or de-indexed, with a recovery time anywhere up to a year.

This did actually happen to a whole load of websites back in October 2013 and it took until October 2014 and a Penguin algorithm "refresh" (not an "update" which occurs throughout the year...) for them to see their keyword positions only just start to bounce back, not forgetting it will take 3 to 6 months after that time to get back to pre-October 2013 positions.

I would personally stick to all that is natural and think of the approach as a link-earning strategy as opposed to a link-building one. Use a combination of authoritative and organic means and if you go this route, work hard for the next 3 to 6 months you will surely reap the rewards and won’t have to do anywhere near as much work to maintain those great first page positions…

I would suggest you buy some SOCKS proxies (as in IP addresses, not web based proxies), but a better suggestion would be to not focus on grey or black hat SEO.

The results are too unpredictable and not always in your favor.

Hi! If you still want to try to do gray or black hat SEO, buy a list of IP-addresses proven reliable proxies (Fine Proxy). Despite the low price, these proxies will ensure your online privacy. Good luck!
