Proxy script

    I am looking for a free proxy script that can be run on shared hosting.

    phproxy is the best. But you cannot run any proxy on shared hosting, they will not allow it. There is one host though, PM me if you are interested.

    I already have a shared hosting account with liquidXhost, so I dont really want to have to have another host.

    If you are going to do proxies you need more hosts. Are you sure that liquidXhost will do proxies ?

    contact your host they may let you run a proxy on a shared account!

    Never ever use shared hosting. You'll get banned in any time, dude..

    I contacted them and they said i am allowed to, but if it uses to much CPU they will suspend my account unless I take the proxy off. Anyway thats not what im asking.

    Im asking if there are any proxy scripts that can be run on shared hosting.

    im just starting to look in to proxys these past few days
    but try phproxy or cgiproxy ! just google phproxy shared host or sumthing!

    And the answer is that no proxies getting good traffic can be runned on shared hosting at all.

    But why don`t you try phproxy as I said before, its a very good script indeed. Don`t bother with the cgi script, it will eat up the cpu in no time.

    i just read about bot cgiproxy and phpproxy and cgi proxy looked like a much better script but i dont know much!
    and it said php needs alot more bandwith !? is that true?

    Yes PHPproxy uses a huge amount of bandwidh and its eventually goes out of hands. Moreover proxies are also resource intensive.
