A bit of promotion will go a long way to making good money!

I bought two proxy networks about a month ago and realized it's not something I have the time to market. At one point the previous owner (http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace/auction/17139) was making about $70/day with all of his networks together - I now own about 1/3 of that network and anticipate a rise up to about the $20/day mark (if) I had the time to invest in it. Unfortunately I don't, so my loss is your gain.

There are 49 total proxies over 2 networks: http://Greatcover.info/greatcovernetwork.html and http://Maskelite.info/maskelitenetwork.info

The above sitepoint link is to only the MaskElite network - I bought both networks for about 1.5x revenue - have owned them for less than a month and have decided to devote into another different project of mine (not the azoogle thing in my sig).

Again, this is still a great way to get into the proxy business cheap!!!

It's currently hosted by a DP member here and I'm sure he'll let you pick up where I left off.

REVENUE:

I don't have enough rev tracking to really give anyone a fair current results. Again, refer to http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace/auction/17139 to get a feel for it.

Please don't ask for further rev or traffic proof - I just haven't owned this long enough to give you fair results. If you've got a bit of time on your hands, maybe an hour or two a week to get this network moving, you should do just fine!

I'll do a free push on godaddy.com but I think some of the VERY CHEAP .info names will need to be renewed in a month or so. It's totally worth it to keep the steadily growing traffic.

TRAFFIC:

Without touching it, each of the 49 individual proxies apparently has some residual traffic, probably about 30 uniques each and it's been growing steadily . . . again, WITHOUT touching it.

I put ONE proxy on proxy.org and that traffic has been outstanding. The only one I've been truly monitoring.

Okay, so I'm going to do an auction here:

All in all, this is a pretty cheap way to get into the proxy business FAST or add to your existing network. There is tons of info out there on how to properly and successfully market proxies - and as many of you know, ONE proxy can earn $xxx per month if managed properly.

It currently has adsense but I didn't set up channels so I don't know for sure how much each proxy is making daily, but again, it's growing for sure because my adsense keeps going up and it's not because of the other sites I use adsense on (those are channeled). All you'll have to do is go in and edit it with your adsense ID and you're good to go. You can certainly monetize it other ways too. All the proxies are phpproxy based - set up, skinned and ready for you to take over. If you BIN, I'll throw in 2 free months hosting - BTW, my host hasn't crashed once and the host manager is awesome.

I just don't have the time to do it as I have a full time off-line business, manage one major website and have 3 other "minor" web projects.

My loss = Your Gain.

One more twist: I am considering a trade off for another site or sites which are currently bringing in income without requiring much advertising/ppc or a ton of extra seo. Something manageable with just a bit of maintenance. A site or sites that you are already looking to sell for about my BIN and would consider trading. US BASED SITES ONLY PLEASE.​

I've recently updated the skins on all templates and adjusted it so that adsense id's can be more easily updated.

 

how much is your hosting cost for all 49 sites?

And what is the renew dates of the domain and where they are registered

 

Hosting right now is $39/month - on a VPS. Bandwidth has yet to be an issue. Host has assured me it will grow with the network. Actually, I think host lowered this to $29/month - but of course, you can choose your own host if you like.

A few of the renew dates are coming up towards the end of Jan - the rest are through February and march. They are almost all .infos, so should be relatively cheap to renew.

A bit of an update:

BIN is being lowered - first $600 takes it. Shortly after I originally posted this, I got a huge surge of traffic that was pulling an average of $30 per day! Then my server crashed (corruption issue that has been resolved) and it took about 2 days to get back up.

I found out that my proxy.org advertisement was sending me a TON of traffic towards the end of the ad duration.

I don't have traffic stats anymore because I had to redo my analytics codes, but it is ramping up nicely at about 1100-1500 UV/day.

Also, I can put up my old adsense numbers if I have enough interest.

There are about 7 domain names out of the 49 that will need to be renewed soon. I already renewed about 10 or 12 of them a few weeks ago for another year.

In any event, first $600 takes it and I'll throw in an extra month of hosting. I need to move on to much bigger projects and would rather not let this network die from neglect.
