Proxy Network of Six Sites - $434 in December from AdSense Alone!

I started a proxy network by the name of FilterSneak.com around November 1st. It has since seen explosive growth in both traffic and revenue.

The sites are:

All domains are registered at GoDaddy, and DoxProx and TotProx have really not been promoted at all other than minimal cross promotion.

As you can see, December has been an explosive month. If you would like to, you can also install Adversal Popups (currently running on every 7th page view and generating minimal revenue) for additional revenue I would estimate around $100-200 per month. I have seen many other proxies using this to that effect, however I don't like popups so I didn't have them installed.

In addition, I made $44 in the first week or so selling text links. One of them is active until early January, but I have since made no further advertising effort. However I did just get an email from someone looking to advertise on the network, and will foward him to the buyer if interested.

.................. EXPENSES ..................

Expenses are minimal. In November, I spent about $100 on advertising, but it turned out to be not very necessary. The whole network runs on one 2.4GHz Celeron server and I can refer you to someone who can give you that for a $36 first month and $76 for other months.


.................. THE RECENT DROP IN TRAFFIC AND REVENUE ..................

By looking at the screenshots you probably noticed that starting at December 19th, there has been a drop in traffic and revenue. This is very odd. However, other proxy owners including a friend of mine have experienced this drop. We have theorized that it is either due to the holidays or a block by the Iranian government, as that is where the majority of the traffic comes from.

If it is due to the holidays, then it will most likely pick back up right where it left off ($30-50 a day) around January 10th. If it is due to a block by the Iranian government, you have a few options.

It appears that ProxInBox.com and Proxans.com, the two top performers, were the only ones blocked, just judging by the traffic graphs for the individual domains. Therefore, you could easily launch two new domains (not even necessary) and just promote the other four domains until Iranian blogs, top traffic drivers, picked them up. It would take under a month and revenue would skyrocket, especially since DoxProx and TotProx have really not been promoted at all.

Also, it may be possible to just change IPs to evade the block if it is by IP, but I have not tried this yet.

Anyway, even though there has been a drop, revenue is still $5-15 per day, which is still pretty good. The reason that traffic and revenue has CONTINUED to go down since yesterday is definitely because of US Christmas break which started yesterday.

.................. REASON FOR SELLING ..................

Contrary to what you may believe, I am not selling this because of the recent drop. I am selling it because my business plan was to sell during Christmas break, and so that's what I'm doing.

I'm going to assume an average AdSense earning of $15 in my pricing. In addition, remember all the potential that you have with Adversal (you could also put AdBrite on proxied pages).
