Does anyone know where I can find the most recent and fully tested Proxy IP addresses to use? I looked at several sites but the IPs don't work all the time.

You mean just the IPS, not web based ones? I had a list of about 500, only about 80 of them worked, but those sites are good. Thanks :)

I am looking for proxy IPs to use for my search engine ranking check software. The problem is that with certain free proxy IPs, they don't last longer than 24 hours and I need this to run my software.

Guys please some explain me better how do proxies work. I went to the website that mentos suggested but did not find an answer for my question.
I manage a forum and would like to add proxy sites ip to the ban list so people will stop using proxies to open new accounts and post spam. How can I do that.
    Please someone help me.
    Thank you very much

    I also use samair.ru

I'd seriouslly suggest just police the spam as blocking every proxy you come across will be more work, it's easier to find and use a new proxy than it is to keep blocking them so you'll never be ahead, even if you managed to get hold of a giant list of IPs

As for how they work, your machine sends data to proxy then the proxy grabs data (e.g google.com) then sends it to ur machine so u get the end result but to the server (google.com) it was the proxy accessing it. If that wasn't what you meant by "how they work", you can set browsers to use a proxy or you can use software to divert your entire connection, it's really easy
