Proxy in the name or not?

I am starting up a proxy soon, and dont know which domain to put it on. The two I am debating about are DivineProxy.com Or Tetor.com. I have heard having Proxy in the name can be bad.

So which do you think is better?

Most blocking software automatically blocks URLs with proxy in them. Its a no no.

Some not all. If your doing seo, then it'd probably better to have proxy in the name

    Yes.

These days 8/10 do block the word proxy in URLs. Having proxy in the URL for SEO wont make even close enough of a difference to offset the autoblocks.

Any filter software will have options to block urls with certain words. You can bet a large portion of any decent sys admins would add "proxy" as a blacklisted word.
If you install Bluecoat k9. (Free for personal use) There is a just an option in it. Alternatively you can also block even the TLD. You could put ".info" in it and block .info domains, .info domains have been used to death by spammers and proxies, I'm sure many places are blocking them. Which is why I don't buy .info anymore.

Scoring a .com or .net would be best. And yes Tetor is the better option. The proxy doesnt really matter anymore if you want it for a SEO boost, since there are thousands of proxies now competing for search engine traffic.

be creative while choosing domain. My .com gets twice the traffic than those of the info domains.. Check alexa and compare sites like vtunnel, myspaceunblocker and kproxy and you will get ideas about the traffic and popularty. My 2 cents. Best of luck!

i don't think matters too much if you plan to use the word "proxy" in the meta tags or the content of your site.

I don't think it's a good idea. It may sound nice but most filters are automatically blocking the word. An unrealted domain name is much better.

No you shouldn't have proxy in the name but you also shouldnt't have said tetor.com as someone could buy it and charge you 2 times!
