Proxy hosting: Dedicated or VPS is better?

Which is better? And which works?

I dun want to move my proxy sites again. My web host disabled my account as proxy sites is against their TOS. Now I must look for a new host, understand that VPS or dedicated both works for proxy sites.

 

dedicated if you have alot of traffic and can afford it.

 

Dedicated instead of VPS if your proxies receive huge traffic. Else, you can go with specialized proxy hosts.

I would go for a dedicated, More control, Better power and stability. If you want one, I have dedicated's starting from $30 which are perfect for proxy hosting.

 

Dedicated is great. Get plenty of RAM.

Lol... we have to try our luck some time. Hm... seems like most of the dedicated servers hosting company dun allow proxy hosting. hm.... why?

 

That's weird, It's probably because it's bandwidth consuming.

 

I'm only take in 30 GB out of the 500GB given. Lol...

For my network of 11 proxy... it's not too much right?

 

It's too less for proxy ..... a healthy one month old single proxy must consume more than 10 gig per month

 

30GB for 11 proxies, You may need a bit more bandwidth then that.

And anyways, If you need to host 11 proxies, A plan higher then the $30 may be best, But you could always upgrade later

 

You could get shared hosting as agnivo007 said, for that much bandwidth although it might be difficult to get 11 domains hosted (since they would consume quite a bit of CPU power)
