I have tried 3 solutions for hosting proxies out of which 2 of them have failed to suit my needs. 1) LayeredTech Dedicated Server Amazing Performance. No downtime whatsoever but finally had to quit. 2) A guy here on DP (I wont name him) Gave me hosting for 2 days. 1 full day my sites were down and the next day I got suspended. Gave me a refund. 3) A guy here on DP (I wont name him) Gave me hosting for a day. Suspended the next day. I'm still waiting for my refund. (If i dont get it within 24 hours, I will be naming the person). I am finally left with no option but to switch to a dedicated server after seeing the dark side of shared proxy hosting providers. Thanks
I feel sorry for you. I could host your site for less but if your site is really high traffic i can't help it might crash all my sites hosted on the server
1) LayeredTech Dedicated Server Shouldn't that work? A dedicated Server? ----------------- Well your option is to purchase a VPS
Trust me, I know what your talking about. I recently got my proxy up to 1200 visitors a day and then it got suspended and the host made up a stupid reason. I have been with 3 other hosts since then and 1 of them refunded my money but the others suspended me and then stole the money. Now I am again looking for a host and I'm in the same boat as you are, except I'm looking more for a VPS
how much space and bandwidth do you need and how much resources were they using when they are up? and how many domains?
I have already bought myself a dedicated server from LayeredTech. If anybody needs cheap proxy hosting, Please let me know!
Well, with all this proxy talk I got a bit confusd. do you mean Phproxy? or making your own proxy as in the IP and port thing? Just a question.
im in the same boat here too a guy on dp gave me host for 3 day and site was shut twice already. and he dont answer email or nothing or pm. all im trying to do is get my site off his server. and he is hiding from me.
When using proxies on VPS, be shure to check the customer portal or whatever. DONT trust the cPanel and WHM bandwith measurement. You could end up with a big bill.
